Kim Rubinstein – “The Soul of the Actor”

Kim Rubinstein was Associate Artistic Director at the Long Wharf Theater CT for a number of years, and she has directed at Shakespeare Santa Cruz, Portland Center Stage, San Jose Rep, Chicago Shakespeare, Southwest Rep, Roundhouse Theatre, Berkshire Theatre Festival, and for the National Tour of Angels In America.

Her teaching credits include ten years at Northwestern University, University of Chicago, Brown/Trinity Consortium, Wesleyan University, The O’Neill Center and Steppenwolf Theater Company. Kim is a recipient of the TCG/NEA directing fellowship and a nominee for the Alan Schneider Directing Award.

Her work coaching Scientists through the interface between creativity and Neuroscience at USSD entitled TALKING SCIENCE through AUTHENTICITY AND HEART is profound. Kim dreams of founding her own Center for the Creative Spirituality of the Performing Artist.
