
Ever since childhood I’ve felt called by the spirit world, and the power of sound. This particularly occurred through the exquisite words forming in my consciousness like wonderful prayers, and I’ve always basked in the magical words of great poets like Shakespeare, Blake, Byron, Coleridge, Shelley, and Keats. What I mean by this is that the sounds arising from beautiful poetry and prayers have always deeply resonated within my being, providing inspiration, and opening portals to the mystical, otherworldly realm of spirit.
This significantly occurred when I had evolved beyond an early sensory confusion and discovered I was a synesthete. Synesthetes experience unique sensory crossovers, and in my experience, this meant that I saw sound as light. Words literally light forms that flowed, and I found it impossible to read, considerably frustrating my teachers. However, after a period of mutism, at ten years of age, my sacred Mother had the brilliant idea of placing me in a Church Choir and I began to read through sacred song. I literally floated on the flow of the breath and the melodies as one, for the sounds of these words I felt in my soul, and a door opened in my consciousness.
After a period of floating through education, which I found severely challenging, I was defined as Dyslexic, not that we really knew what this meant in the late 60’s and early 70’s, yet by movements of the wheel of destiny, I found my way into Theatre as sacred ritual.
My professional life has extended over the last fifty years, having initially trained as an Actor/Teacher specializing in Voice & Theatre Studies, and then acting in UK Repertory Theatre – soaring on the currents of the rich voices that existed then, for this was a time when many Theatres burgeoned throughout the United Kingdom, allowing we Actors to learn how to create ‘spell’ for the audience.
My career as Voice Coach began in 1980 after a profound encounter with Cicely Berry from the RSC, under whose auspices I taught at the ‘Guildhall School of Speech and Drama’, and in 1981 I became the Head of Voice at the ‘Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art’, continuing until 1997.This was a period of accelerated growth during which I met Mark Rylance who invited me to be the Resident Master of Voice at ‘Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre’. Shakespeare’s Globe was a reconstruction of the theatre that once stood virtually on the same London site in 1597, and when it first opened Mark wanted his actors to use authentic voices speaking Shakespeare, which was absolutely my genre.

However, it was during the Harmonic Convergence of 1987, after several years of muscling up my abilities to perceive the supernatural world as a Seer, that I visited the Heart Chakra of the world – Glastonbury Tor – and experienced a divine transmission from twelve Archangels, who present themselves as the Twelve Angels of Atlantis. These Angels have always appeared to me as orbs of light, and it was they who inspired me to create a Temple of Sound Healing known as THE ALCHEMY OF VOICE.
This was 1980 and my career as Voice Coach began after an encounter with Cicely Berry, under whose auspices I taught at the ‘Guildhall School of Speech and Drama’. In 1981 I became the Head of Voice at the prestigious ‘Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art’, continuing until 1998.This was a period of accelerated growth through the laboratory of my teaching, experiencing the gifted young people who came to study at the Academy (many of whom are household names today), my expanding private practice, and through meeting and working with major teachers from the growing wisdom culture of the human potential movement.
In addition, I worked pervasively throughout the West End Theatre – at the ‘Actors Centre’, with major Theatre companies such as the ‘Actors Touring Company’, and with West End Production Companies, becoming a Voice Mentor for the Really Useful Theatre Company in 1986.

However, it was during the Harmonic Convergence of 1987, after several years of muscling up my abilities to perceive the supernatural as a Medium or Seer, when I visited the Heart Chakra Energy Centre of the world – Glastonbury Tor – and experienced a divine transmission from twelve Archangels – the Angels of Atlantis. Through their gracious teaching these extraordinary light beings appearing as Orbs, gave me a temple of sound healing, which I’ve progressively brought into creation through the 1990’s.
